Fashion & Architecture in Imagine #10
More than a year after the Fashion & Architecture expo in the Amsterdam architecture centre (Arcam), publications are still popping up. Greek magazine Imagine #10 features 4 pages of images and information. I'm proud to have been a part of this project.

Ontfront X Casio G-Shock Video
Casio G-shock launched their first Dutch collaboration with menswear label OntFront. The firm and tough watch is matte anthracite and the wristband is covered with a pixelated snake skin print and OntFront logo. Only 50 pieces will be manufactured in Japan and all watches will be numbered and engraved by hand. The watch will be sold exclusively at the OntFront store in Amsterdam and Gorilli in Rotterdam, starting from October.
To officially launch the collaboration, OntFront has created a soundtrack and a video campaign about four friends. The soundtrack contains vocals of Geoffrey Sijlbing a.k.a. Afaka and the music was created by Fret Hinge. The video was directed by me with Naveen Kalloe on second camera. The cast consists of Geoffrey Sijlbing, Ruben Solognier, Riquel Gilliad and Eva Bartels.

Laura Dumitru Video
During my short stay in Romania, I saw a lot of beautiful scenery. And I would really like to go back soon and shoot something more elaborate. Nonetheless I did get the chance to capture the beauty of Romanian Next Topmodel finalist, Laura Dumitru. This was my second real experience in filming with the Canon 5D MKII, and probably not the last. Thank you Laura, George at MRA Models and Galya Gisca for helping me out!

New Studio at Ferdinand Huyckstraat
I have a new studio at the Ferdinand Huyckstraat 34 in Amsterdam! Today I shot some portraits of DJ Graphix in the new space. It's not quite ready yet, but it's workable. We have to wait 8 weeks for the new floor to dry, before we can paint it. After that the furniture will come in and we can have an opening party. With BBQ ofcourse, since we now have an enclosed garden. Stay tuned for the opening date!

Curacao SS2011
In about a week I'll take a plane to Curacao where I'll be spending a nice and quiet vacation with my family. I'll be on the island from the 6th of april untill the 3rd of may. MTV Moneymakers
This sunday at 11.10 a new episode of MTV Moneymakers is airing, with me in it. This episode Tess is following Martijn from Hype Hairdressers Amsterdam.
Every show Tess is presented with a challenge. This time she has to style a models hair for a shooting. Martijn did the hair of the other model, the make-up was done by Christie Ling and Lisa Anne Stuyfzand was responsable for the styling. After all that I shot two beautiful pictures which I’ll be posting after sunday’s show. Check out the show on MTV or catch a rerun on tuesday at 15.15, wednesday at 15.15 or on zaterdag at 18.10.

Sunday Tests
Yesterday we tested 5 girls in a beauty based shoot. Responsible for the hair and make-up was Kim Verhagen. And Ellen Uyen took care of the clothing, who by the way, also shot the blog picture with her IPhone. So if the result turns out to be better than mine, book her instead for your next shooting?
We shot girls from Micha Models, Touché Models, Fresh Model Management and new face Soekie from Salva Models in clothing from dutch designers Pauline van Dongen, Marloes Blaas and others. We'll probably shoot some more and present it as soon as the series is done.

Diadora SS2011 Shooting
This morning in the blistering cold we shot Diadora's shoes and shirts spring/summer collection 2011 for the Aktiesport stores.Unlike yesterday the sun didn't feel like showing itself so we were forced to use some flash. But fortunately the model, Timothy, is an icehockey player and thus somewhat used to the cold. At least he didn't turn purple, even though at some times he was in shorts and T-shirt. The pictures need to be ready fast so they'll appear online very soon. Thanks again Mendo for the assignment!
